Privacy Policy
What data Dubai Practical collects, how it is used, and your rights under GDPR and UAE PDPL.
Dubai Practical is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep this as minimal as possible — we do not want your data, we want to help you with Dubai.
Short version
What we collect
Nothing — anonymous visitors
If you browse Dubai Practical without signing up or submitting a form, we collect no personally identifiable information. Server logs may record IP addresses for security and abuse-prevention purposes only, and are deleted within 30 days.
Newsletter subscribers (email only)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and the date of subscription. We use Resend to deliver emails. We do not share your email with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Correction and contact form submissions
When you submit a correction or contact form, we collect the information you provide (message, optional email, page reference). This is used solely to respond to your submission. Submissions are retained for 12 months and then deleted.
Interactive tool state
Some tools (checklists, calculators, trackers) store state in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device — it is not sent to our servers.
Analytics
If we use analytics, we use privacy-respecting tools (Plausible Analytics or equivalent) that do not use cookies, do not collect personal data, and do not track users across sites. Page view counts help us understand which content is most useful. No behavioural profiling is performed.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracking technology that shares data with advertising networks.
