Dubai Stopover Guide

Make the most of your Dubai layover — how to get a free 48-hour transit visa, what to see in 2 or 4 days, airport facilities, and getting to the city fast.

Dubai Is Built for Stopovers

Emirates actively promotes Dubai as a stopover destination with subsidised visa fees and hotel packages. If you have a connection through DXB of more than 8 hours, it's almost always worth leaving the airport. Even a half-day is enough to see the Burj Khalifa or the Gold Souk.

Transit & Stopover Visa Options

48-Hour Transit Visa
